  • The Summer Science Laboratory Research Apprenticeship for High School Students

    A nine-week program for research groups consisting of 2-3 high school students, one graduate student research assistant and one graduate student mentor. Each group conducts a different, original forensic science research project and presents its work formally at the end of the nine weeks in a symposium on Presentation Day. Minimum stipends of $2000.00 are available (or higher depending on scholarship availability).

  • Fee and Stipends

    The fee for high school students is $2,000.00 to attend this program. Stipends and a waiver of the fee are available under the following conditions:

  • If annual family income is greater than $70,000.00, students must pay the $2,000.00 fee
    If annual income is between $35,000.00 and $70,000.00, students are eligible for a waiver of the $2,000.00 fee
    If annual income is less than $35,000.00, students are eligible for both a waiver of the $2,000.00 fee and a minimum stipend of $2,000.00 (or higher depending upon scholarship availability)
